
If you follow my Blog, you know I’m a true believer that “Self-Care is the new Health-Care,” and although I can indulge in a good Spa 365 days a year, there are so many other ways in which to take care of and show ourselves love. Although I don’t profess to be a professional when it comes to matters of the heart, I can speak from experience, and what I know for sure is emotional healing is one of the absolute best ways to love yourself whole heartedly.

To some degree, we’ve all been on either the giving or receiving end of heart-ache (It’s inevitable) …a part of life…a part of growth, but with 1 in 3 women dying of heart disease or stroke each year (Afro American Women lead the death rate regardless of age), weather it be linked to your family history or from an unhealthy lifestyle, I feel it’s imperative that we begin chipping away at the odds by resolving emotional heart-ache. (Emotional heart-ache causes stress and stress changes in the way blood clots, if a blood clot forms, it can stop the blood flow, which in return can cause a heart attack or stroke).

Too often we cover our pain with bandaids (coping mechanisms), when in actuality healing from within is the best prescription for heart-ache. Show yourself some love ❤️ If you can self-assess your pain, thats fine…if not…seek counsel…confront it…process it and resolve it, because as cliche as it may sound the truth is; hurt people, continue to hurt people and when you heal yourself, you heal your children, you heal your parents, you heal your families, you heal your friends, you heal everyone who sees you healing…and your’e that much closer to living the heart-healthy lifestyle you deserve.
